PRODUCT REVIEW: Baking Soda

Filed under: Product Reviews — by Courtney Smith @ 7:40 pm

Name – Baking Soda

Description – N/A

Ingredients – Sodium bicarbonate (for the chemists i believe the formula is NaCO3..correct me if i’m wrong.. this is pure baking soda.

Instructions
– N/A

How I used it – I mixed 1/2 teaspoon-1 teaspoon of baking soda in 500 mL of distilled water and a few squirts of my VO5 Kiwi Lime Clarifying Conditioner to balance the alkalinity of the baking soda. I rinsed 3 times with this mixture and each successive time my hair got softer and softer. This is a GREAT alternative to shampoo for those that get dry hair from using sulfate+ammonia shampoos. I don’t see any down to using baking soda to clarify :)

Overall rating – (1-10) 9.9

  1. Actually, the chemical formula for sodium bicarbonate is NaHCO3, not NaCO3.
