Hendigo went ok

Filed under: 1 — by Courtney Smith @ 11:21 pm

So the hendigo on sunday (or i think it was saturday..hehe) went ok..my hair is pretty black. I should buy some rinses to make it blacker (i want blue-black or red-black).
Anyway, my hair was breaking earlier today because i slept with it tied up with a bobbypin..bad idea.
Tonight to remedy it i applied GVP Potion 9, Redken Butter Treat, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil to my edges(the left side was hurting..) and Cocoa-Ilipe Butter. phew. only a little bit of each.

I’m running out of my redken butter treat. :( I realllllly wanna buy it again. It’s perfect to stop all breakage in conjunction with GVP Potion 9. But at the same time I wanna make my own to save money. *sigh* Why does it have to be so darn expensive!!!!?

I’m using LUSH Caca Noir ..sigh so HARD to mash up.

My dad and I put the blocks in the food processor but then i added water to the mashed up result and no luck..so he was like well maybe you should put the water+mashed up stuff in the food processor so that it makes a paste..which worked! There was still a lot of crumblies in the paste which sucked. I can’t wait until my real indigo powder comes. LUSH henna is way too cumbersome for real.

So i baggied overnight with Garnier Dry/Damaged with my butter concoction and cocoa-ilipe butter layered underneath it. Rinsed that out and applied the LUSH caca noir paste to it..I’m gonna sit with it until like 5:30 then rinse it out with VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea conditioner..wash with Creme of Nature Shampoo then deep condition with GVP Conditoning Balm. I BETTER GET BLACK HAIR! lol.

I only have two tangles..so that’s alright :)

Filed under: 1 — by Courtney Smith @ 2:19 am

WOW. My hair is actually growing…I’ve been like dang my hair is getting long! heh..i was walking to my room and looking in the mirror at my hair and i ran into a wall.. :D
But yeah. My hair is almost to waistlength. And by almost i mean by August 2009. lol :) I give it another 8 months to be waistlength..not even full waistlength. But i’m TLC’in it and not cutting it til’ august..then i’ll trim it out a lil’

I want to get my hair flatironed and done professionally but i’m scared how it’s gonna turn out..i’m scared they’re gonna try to detangle itlike a madwoman and just rip the mess outta my scalp and hair :( *sigh*
I want it to be all swingy and pretty and whatnot..that would be AWESOME. Maybelike curled a little at the e nds. So pretty..do  that after a hendigo and my hair would be awessssssommmeee…

Maybe in january..maybe.. i’ll see..

Midweek Deep condition checkup!

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 10:58 pm

My hair has been thicker than usual and very little breakage ever since starting using the GVP Concentrated leavein. I’m restoring moisture into my hair by deep conditioning with Silk Elements Megasilk conditioner for 2 hours. I mixed it with Avocado Butter, Camellia Seed OIl, and Honey.

Then i’m going to rinse it out moisturize with GVP Concentrated and Redken Butter Treatment and seal with Avocado Oil.

We’ll see how i like this deep conditioner..
