Midweek Deep condition checkup!

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 10:58 pm

My hair has been thicker than usual and very little breakage ever since starting using the GVP Concentrated leavein. I’m restoring moisture into my hair by deep conditioning with Silk Elements Megasilk conditioner for 2 hours. I mixed it with Avocado Butter, Camellia Seed OIl, and Honey.

Then i’m going to rinse it out moisturize with GVP Concentrated and Redken Butter Treatment and seal with Avocado Oil.

We’ll see how i like this deep conditioner..

Great deep condition!

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 2:41 am

I’m 10 weeks post but today my hair hardly felt it! Today I washed with GVP Extra-gentle shampoo then deep conditioned with GVP Conditoning Balm for like 2/3 hours..rinsed it out and my hair was easy to detangle..I applied my GVP Concentrated and I had to use Redken Butter Treat over it but the concentrated makes it much thicker as it dries! No more thin hair!
Unfortunatley, I dusted my hair again..it’s ok I guess..

I need to take pictures.
No more dusts/trims until January…I must stop myself….ugh. I just hate my thin lye-relaxed ends. F lye.

Sealing with oil makes my hair crunchy…

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 2:54 pm

I’ve come to the conclusion that sealing my hair a lot (more than twice or three times a week) with oil makes it dry and crunchy. I haven”t sealed with oil for the past couple of days and my hair has been nicely moisturized..i plan on sealing with oil after I wash and deep condition.

I moisturized today with some ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Lotion (the smell was absolutely disgusting) and Garnier Curl&Shine moisturizer. My hair is still soft!

ALSO, on another note..I’m starting to see that my hair HATES Herbal Essences LTR Leave-In. It’s always crunchy whenever i use it..no matter if I’ve just deep conditioned or anything..it’s absolutely atrocious..however using it on wet hair is ok..just not on dry hair.

My hurr was dry…

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 12:10 am

things i did differently:

1. Moisturize with Herbal essences LTR
2. Airdry hair free, not in braid
3. Not seal with camellia seed

I think the LTR caused protein overload, but the main problem was my airdrying method. My hair was dry as the sahara! I used all moisture this wash and deep conditioned for about 4 hours with Lustrasilk Shea+Sweet Almond Butter+Shea Butter+Camellia Seed Oil+Castor+Coconut

Hendigo went well!

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 9:37 pm

It was messy but well worth the bling and color!! I can’t believe i just colored my hair PERMANENTLY black naturally with no damage :) My hair is soft and it’s not even dry! I think it’s because i deep conditioned before AND after the process. I added salt to the indigo also to help with the color release. I’m going to re-hendigo in 4 weeks with the LUSH Caca Noir Bar to get it to blue-black status! I hope it oxidizes even darker :D
