i fell asleep.

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 4:34 pm

Haha i fell asleep on wash day.

So this is what i did: Prepooed with Tangerine Tickle and Evoo and Coconut Oil and Honey and Kemi Oyl for about 4 hours rinsed it out and my hair was soft and silky. Then washed with Garnier and NTM. Conditioned with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose(which is the best conditioner EVER) then deep conditioned with Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil Cholesterol(NICE NICE NICE) then deep conditioned with Elasta+Coconut Milk+Coconut Oil+Honey+Evoo overnight(ehh my hair was kinda hard but it’s because the coco milk strengthened it so i aint complainin!). Then put Castor oil on my scalp and ends, moisturized my hair with NTM Silk-Touch then put some PM Super Skinny serum on my hair. We’ll see what it looks like when it’s aidryed! It’s already looking soooo much longer and healthier i can’t wait for my scalp to heal so that i can relax it and just go back to normality!

Today i might go to sally’s and pick up: Hair Cutting Shears, Elasta QP DPR11, Summit Hair Grease, and applicator brushes.

i’m very disapointed.

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 10:50 pm

So it’s the 7th week after my relaxer, and still my scalp is sensitive like no other.

I’m so disapointed. I thought that my scalp would be healed by this time but no..I don’t even know if it will be healed by the 10th week, you know? Well..ugh.
The best thing that I can do is just really change my diet for the time being. Eat a lot of vegetables, protein, and water. Also, take my vitamins.
I will start putting castor oil on my scalp as needed.
The shedding from the burns has really calmed down a lot but still the burns still hurt tremendously. I just hope the sensations are not permanent…i just hope.
We can only pray and wait.

the real wash day…

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 8:58 pm

sooo i just finished finger detangling my hair and i’m ready to mix Tangerine Tickle, Coconut Oil, and EVOO up for a good 3-hour prepoo! There was much less breakage from detangling i think because i started a little yesterday. but today the majority of the breakage was end breakage instead of demarcation breakage. It may be because i have too much protein. This is my honest opinion. My hair is verrry resistant and not very elastic. I think i need some serious moisture and hopefully the tangerin tickle prepoo will do it. I’m going to evaluate my washing regime for today.

Wash day!

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 8:11 pm

Wow my hair is still soft from last week’s wash…maybe it was the coconut oil! I don’t look forward to detangling before washing, and starting that whole process again. Gosh that tires me out!!

Sooo this is my schedule for sake of repition/updating:
Tangerine Tickle+Coconut Oil+Honey(3)-Clar-CON-Porosity-Aubrey Organics-Lekair Cholesterol(1)-Aussie Deep+Coconut Milk+Honey+Evoo+Coconut Oil(1)

Finally using the Lekair by itself for a little protein. We’ll see how it goes. Gotta thaw the Coconut Milk too.

i want:

PRODUCT REVIEW: Elasta QP DPR-11

Filed under: Product Reviews — by Courtney Smith @ 8:28 pm

Name – Elasta QP Deep Penetrating Remoisturizer-11

Description

  • Contains 11 conditioning botanicals including Peach Blossom Oil and Vitamin E
  • Penetrates inner hair fibers to surge nutrients to moisture depleted hair
  • Perfect hair repair treatment when combined with Elasta QP Protein Supplement

Ingredients – Chamomille, Nettle, Balm Mint Leaf Oil, Coltsfoot Extract, Horse Chestnut Extract, Sage Leaf Extract, Rosemary Extract, Petroleum, Cetyel Alcohol, Cetromonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Laurus Nobblis Oil, Orange Oil, Neroli Oil, Black Currant Seed Oil.

Instructions – Apply to hair. Comb through. Place client with plastic cap under warm dryer for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and proceed with styling. For extremely damaged, over-processed, or breaking hair, follow procedure above, and process for 25 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

How I used it – I mixed it with some coconut milk, coconut oil, olive oil, and honey then let it sit on my hair under a shower cap for about an hour. Rinsed it out and my hair was verrry soft! The only down was the coconut milk smell but that had nothing to do with the Elasta QP. It didn’t add much slip, but added a softness like no other! When i airdryed my hair, my new growth was totally soft! I will totally buy again!
Also, you should not use a lot of the DPR11 unless you want weighed down hair and it gets kind of hard to rinse out if you use too much. Use sparingly!

Overall rating – (1-10) 9

Breakage from bantu knot out

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 5:52 pm

So i did a poorly moisturized bantu-knot out that was dry as all get out by the end of the day and there was a little breakage when i took the ponytail down. But it was for my senior pics!! i had to do it =( I’m doing bun almost all the time now(except at school i wanna look hot man!) so bleh. I moisturized last night and this morning and my hair is pretty moisturized still. did i tell you i love my hair? But i need to get it cut!!! badly.

August 16, 2007

my hair is mega soft.

Filed under: Generally Hair — by Courtney Smith @ 1:14 pm

yea so my hair dried soft..it’s funny because yesterday it was really crunchy while it was airdrying..hey  i aint complaining. I’m gonna take down my bantu knots and maybe curl them with some soft curl cream as anything else would make my hair limpish.
